How Can You Help in the Fight Against Blood Cancers?
Donate to the Blood Cancer Research Fund
In June, 2008 the BCRF received a matching grant from an ACOR member of $250,000 for the purpose of accelerating BCRF’s vaccine therapy research for improved immune response results. If every ACOR member joined together in this effort and make a donation for just $10.00 a month, each month for the next twelve months, ACOR members could match that grant. If ACOR members asked their families and friends to contribute to the Blood Cancer Research Fund on their behalf on occasions when gifts are exchanged as symbols of affection, this would also help reach that goal. All contributions are tax-deductible. For more information about this effort CLICK HERE (You will be brought to www://slaythedragon.org )
The BCRF continues to make numerous contributions to blood cancer research and cancer in general:
- Discovery of the how Zap-70, an intracellular protein, that can be used as a useful prognostic factor in determining the aggresiveness of CLL.

- Leadership of the national consortium of 7 prestigious universities studying he causes and treatment of CLL. Member scientists are amoung the most prominent investigators in the field.
- Conducted the first human gene therapy trials
